About Erin
Having grown up in Sandy Hook, Dr. Waddell is no stranger to the area or to SCH. Not only did she begin her medical career as part of a medical pipeline through the Eastern Kentucky Area Health Education Center (NE KY AHEC), but she was also a part of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine Rural Physician Leadership Program (RPLP). She completed much of her education and training at SCH, but it was after her pediatric residency at Marshall University that she decided that she wanted to care for children at the place she calls home … UK St. Claire.
"I’m really excited to watch as your children grow,” says Dr. Waddell. “There’s just something about watching a child go from a tiny baby that cries and coos to a child with their own personality. My favorite part of pediatrics is just getting to witness that in itself.”
In her own words, Dr. Waddell says that she is very much the “mamaw-type”. In her spare time, she enjoys baking pies, crocheting, knitting, and gardening.
