About Ronald
Ronald Kline, MD, a fellowship-trained, board certified vascular surgeon, is renowned for his expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of vascular disorders. He is a leader in the field of limb salvage surgery, a nationally recognized authority in complex wound care, and a leading authority in the world in vertebral artery surgery and brain blood flow.
Dr. Kline earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburg School of Medicine (Pittsburg, Pennsylvania) and completed his general surgery residency at Wayne State University’s Department of Surgery (Detroit, Michigan) where he served as chief surgery resident. He also received microvascular training at the University of Louisville and was a Vascular Research Fellow at Harper Hospital’s Division of Vascular Surgery (Detroit) and a Stroke Fellow with Harper’s Acute Stroke Unit.
Prior to nearly 20 years in private practice in Tuscon, Arizona, Dr. Kline was an associate professor of Vascular Surgery and the Program Director for the Vascular Surgery Fellowship for Wayne State University at the Detroit Medical Center. He has also served as Chief of Staff at Southern Michigan Surgical Hospital.
Dr. Kline is the director and founder of the S.A.V.E. Foundation (an organization that promotes education and research in the fields of vascular disease and wound care) and has been named one of the country’s top vascular surgeons by the Consumers Research Council of America. He is the author of over 60 textbook chapters, research papers, and educational videos and continues to publish, especially in the field of complex wound care as well as lecturing nationally in the areas of vascular surgery and wound care.
