Watts Promoted to Director of Analytics at UK St. Claire

UK St. Claire (SCH) is proud to announce Matt Watts has been promoted to Director of Analytics. In this new role, Watts will be responsible for the oversight and leadership of the analytics department and delivery of actionable analytic solutions.
“Through Matt’s leadership and expertise in data management and analytics, we will be able to better incorporate analytics and business intelligence as core infrastructure and a strategic asset for UK St. Claire,” said Andy Price, Chief Information Officer.
A graduate of Morehead State University, Watts joined the SCH team in 2005 and served as Coordinator, Marketing & Public Relations. In addition to managing the printing department and performing a variety of marketing functions, he was responsible for market research including compiling information on service area demographics, market share, utilization, and other statistics using multiple data sources.
In 2015, Watts became a full-time business analyst managing a multi-million dollar physician compensation plan and has provided support for physician recruitment, retention, and compliance efforts by providing analysis of physician compensation and performance. Watts has also assisted in business planning and budgeting services for the Medical Group and division managers and was actively involved with the launch of SCH’s bariatric surgery program. He was assigned to lead the initial feasibility study and assisted the program in achieving MBSAQIP accreditation in its first year.
“Matt’s expertise in data management and analytics has been crucial in providing the organization with live data in a way that speeds strategic and tactical decision making,” said Price. “The Tableau dashboards he has helped build and deploy were essential for tracking and monitoring live electronic health record data. This real-time data was key to the organization’s successful COVID-19 response.”
