“Laughter is good medicine,” said Morgan Morris, APRN.
UK St. Claire (SCH) is excited to welcome some of Morris’ cheer and infectious laugh to its primary care clinic in Frenchburg.
Morris spends her days with a smile on her face and a main goal in her heart … to make sure her patients are taken care of, safe, and comfortable.
“Southern hospitality is important to me, so I want to be sure to carry that over into my practice,” said Morris. “It’s a great feeling to take care of people, to make them feel better, and to give them the resources needed to make their lives better, overall.”
Morris, a native of Wolfe County, was drawn to the area after completing her undergraduate degree at Morehead State University and doing clinical rotations at St. Claire. She later earned a Master of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner Studies from Chamberlain College of Nursing.
“My family led me down the path of nursing,” said Morris. “They inspired me to do my best and continue to further my education.”
Morris takes pride in being involved in the community and staying connected to others.
“Knowing what resources are available and having connections to help meet the needs of my patients is at the top of my list,” said Morris. “Communication, especially in a small community like ours, can really be beneficial in creating an effective care plan for my patients.”
Morris believes that the key to patient success is a strong, well-communicated, and comfortable relationship with each individual.
“I want each and every person, no matter their age, to feel like they can tell me anything and to also trust me to share anything I feel they should know, as well,” said Morris. “Sometimes healthcare can be intimidating, but it’s important that my patients know that is not the case with me.”
Morris is ready to take care of you and your family at UK St. Claire - Frenchburg. The Frenchburg team offers annual check-ups, immunizations, minor surgical procedures, and more. To schedule an appointment, call 606.768.2191 or request an appointment online at www.st-claire.org/appointment.
