St. Claire HealthCare Names Sherrie Goodwin, RN, MS, BSN, CNOR, CSPD, ONCC, as Director of Perioperative Services

St. Claire HealthCare is proud to announce Sherrie Goodwin, RN, MS, BSN, CNOR, CSPD, ONCC, as the Director of Perioperative Services, Sterile Processing Department (SPD), Pre-Admission Testing (PAT), and the Outpatient Care Center/Endoscopy. A native of Vanceburg, Goodwin joins SCH with over 30 years of healthcare experience ranging from oncology and outpatient infusions to endoscopy and surgical services.

“The first time that I started working in surgery, the leadership took me in, letting me learn and grow in that department,” said Goodwin. “I worked with great people who took the time to educate me on that particular specialty.”

In this role, Goodwin will help in providing leadership and direction for the development of surgical services in collaboration with the Medical Director of Surgery. She will also support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and protocols, and collaborate with department leaders to ensure compliance and attainment of nursing division and organizational objectives, surgical-related quality measures, targeted productivity standards, and targeted benchmarks in patient and nursing satisfaction.

Goodwin received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2012 from Western Governors University. She furthered her education and obtained her Master of Science in Organizational Leadership also from Western Governors University in 2017.

Goodwin is married with three daughters. She enjoys reading, playing with her cats and dogs, and spending time with her family.
