While cooler weather brings the excitement of holidays, it also brings increases in common illnesses, such as colds, flu, and COVID. UK St. Claire (SCH) urges you to do your part in slowing the spread of these illnesses, especially as the number of cases continues to rise in our communities. Practice good hand hygiene, wear a mask when experiencing symptoms, get vaccinated to prevent illness, and get tested, whenever necessary.
If you are experiencing symptoms of the flu or COVID-19, or have been recently exposed to either, please get tested to protect those around you.
Testing is available at both SCH Urgent Care Centers, located at 431 Hampton Way and 1028 E. Main Street in Morehead, for convenient walk-in care. And at SCH’s Primary Care Clinics, located in Frenchburg, Morehead, Olive Hill, Owingsville, and Sandy Hook.
If you have yet to be vaccinated against the flu or COVID-19, SCH offers many convenient locations to protect yourself and those you care about.
Flu and COVID-19 vaccines are available without an appointment at both SCH Urgent Care locations in Morehead. Vaccines are also available at all of our Primary Care clinics located in Frenchburg, Morehead, Olive Hill, Owingsville, and Sandy Hook, as well as our Pediatric Clinic in Morehead.
SCH will also be offering a COVID Vaccine Clinic in the SCH Medical Pavilion every Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (closed for lunch from 12:00 – 1:00 PM). The vaccine clinic will be held in the lab on the first floor of the Medical Pavilion, and registration will be completed at the main registration area in the first-floor lobby.
We offer multiple convenient options for making an appointment at the Medical Pavilion or at one of our clinics. You can chat with Claire, the SCH ChatBot available on our website, request an appointment on our website at www.st.claire.org/appointments, or call 606.780.5500 between the hours of 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
We can’t fight this fight alone. Help us do what it takes to stop the spread and protect our community.
