Watts Named Nurse Manager for St. Claire HealthCare Emergency Department

St. Claire HealthCare is proud to announce Jordan Watts, RN, BSN as its new nurse manager in the emergency department. In this role, he will oversee the day-to-day operations of the emergency department working to ensure quality outcomes, patient safety, and improved customer experience.

“I like working at St. Claire because we bring big city medicine to the rural setting,” said Watts. “We are committed to evidence-based practice and I want patients to receive the same high-quality care here as they would at a large center like UK or Cabell Huntington.”

Watts, originally from Hyden, Kentucky worked as an EMT for four years prior to becoming a nurse. He joined SCH in 2017 as a patient care technician and nurse extern while he pursued his associate degree in nursing. He continued to further his education and received a bachelor’s degree in nursing while working as the assistant nurse manager for the emergency department.
