Vinson Accepts Nurse Manager Role at UK St. Claire

UK St. Claire is pleased to announce Kristin Vinson, MSN, RN, CSRN, as the new Nurse Manager for Outpatient Procedural Services.
Vinson has 17 years of nursing experience in various departments, including NICU, OR/PACU, CTVU, House Supervisor, Nurse Anesthesia, and Nursing Professional Development. Throughout her career, she has always focused on patient safety, quality of care, as well as staff growth and development.
In her new role, Vinson will be responsible for operational oversight, personnel management, and leading ongoing quality improvement efforts for the outpatient surgical department.
“I’m very excited and grateful to be back at SCH! I believe in the mission of UK St. Claire and it feels like coming home,” said Vinson. “Not only do I get the pleasure of serving the people of Eastern Kentucky, but I get to grow my team to their full potential.”
Vinson obtained her BSN from Eastern Kentucky University in 2006 and her MSN from Murray State University in 2012. She is an instructor for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). She is also a current member of the Association of Nursing Professional Development and the Kentucky Organization of Nurse Leaders. She was a presenter for the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) in 2018 and the Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA) in 2023 as a speaker for staff development and patient quality of care.
